Associate Attorney - Consumer Litigation and Government Investigations Date Posted: March 14, 2025 Location: Washington, DC Classification: Exempt, Full-Time Hudson Cook, LLP, a financial services law Firm with a national practice, seeks an Associate with at least 3 years of commercial or consumer litigation experience to join its consumer litigation and government investigations practice in Washington, DC. This practice represents businesses facing consumer litigation and government investigations arising primarily under consumer protection laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Consumer Financial Protection Act, FTC Holder Rule, and other federal and state consumer protection laws. ABOUT THE POSITION The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has solid junior associate-level litigation experience in federal court, with consumer arbitration experience a plus. They must possess excellent legal research and writing skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and develop their practice. Knowledge of or experience in the consumer financial services industry is preferred but not required. Applicants must be admitted in D.C. or eligible for admission by waiver. Applicants who do not have at least three years of commercial or consumer litigation experience will not be considered.
