The Role of an Associate Attorney (Law and Motion) at our Firm
- Drafting legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings - Arguing motions in court or arbitration - Conducting legal research and analysis - Assisting in client meetings - Managing caseloads and meeting deadlines - Collaborating with senior attorneys on complex legal matters - Maintaining professionalism and ethical standards
Qualifications for the Position of Associate Attorney
- At least 1 year of experience in law and motion briefing and argument - Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school - Active California State Bar license with no disciplinary history - Experience in plaintiff or defense side employment law, wage & hour, and class/PAGA actions is a plus - Superior oral advocacy skills and confidence - Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail, honesty, dependability, computer savvy, and multi-tasking - Proficiency in various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat - Fluency in English (spoken & written). Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities of an Associate Attorney (Law and Motion)
- Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings, including but not limited to motions for preliminary and final approval of class/PAGA action settlements - Attend hearings and argue motions in court/arbitration - Conduct legal research and analysis - Assist in client meetings - Manage caseloads and ensure deadlines are met - Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters - Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
Qualifications for the Position of Associate Attorney
