Harrang Long P.C., a leading law firm, is currently seeking an experienced Associate Attorney in Civil Litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in civil litigation and a proven track record of success in all phases of litigation, with trial experience being a plus. This is a full-time position based in Eugene, Portland, or Salem, Oregon.
Job Description: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a busy and diverse litigation practice. They will be responsible for handling some matters independently and supporting a more senior attorney in others. We value collegiality, excellent work product, innovative thinking, diverse viewpoints, initiative, and, most importantly, an orientation toward client service.
Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities: • Handle all phases of litigation, including trial • Assist a more senior attorney in cases as needed • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials • Communicate with clients and provide updates on case progress • Collaborate with colleagues and provide support as needed
Qualifications: • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in civil litigation • Barred in Oregon • Trial experience is a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong research and analytical skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Commitment to providing exceptional client service
