Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the State of Maryland - Previous prosecution experience at the State or Federal level - Ability to pass a criminal background investigation and be free of conflicts of interest - Knowledge of legal principles and practices, including court procedures and legal research methods and sources - Skill in using a personal computer and commonly utilized business and legal software - Ability to effectively handle a court docket involving a variety of cases - Ability to interview victims and witnesses, research case law and codes, and develop strategies for prosecution - Ability to draft and prepare legal documents - Ability to coordinate with other City and State agencies
Responsibilities:
- Work a modified part-time work week - Maintain a flexible schedule for proper case preparation and coverage of court dockets - Perform work primarily in an office setting with minimal physical exertion
