The State Attorney's Office in Bay County, Florida is seeking an experienced Assistant State Attorney to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Prosecutorial criminal casework, including preparation of legal documents, legal research, depositions, and witness interviews - Trial work, including case preparation, examining and cross-examining witnesses, and summarizing cases for presentation in court - Management of detailed case work and proficient use of office computer software and equipment - In-office attendance and professional interaction with the public, law enforcement, and office staff - Ability to work independently and as a team member - Potential for travel
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Florida Bar - Preferably 2-3 years of criminal trial experience - Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
