Job Description:
- Full-time position as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bethel District Attorney's Office - Responsible for prosecuting criminal cases in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta and Interior Alaska - Frequent court appearances in superior and district courts at Bethel, as well as telephonic appearances in village courts - Significant trial work, including pre-trial motion practice - Opportunities for travel to 64 communities in the area and potential travel for trial work in other court locations - Excellent placement for those interested in outdoor activities, indigenous cultures, or a culturally diverse environment - Offsite housing available - Provides opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of criminal prosecutions, including misdemeanors and felonies, in a short period of time - Two-year commitment in a rural location can lead to preference for transfer to other district attorney offices in the state - Rural commitment is highly valued within the division
