Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries and requests from attorneys and staff. - Review and advise on appeals from trial court rulings. - Research, write, and argue motions and briefs. - Present cases on behalf of the Commonwealth in trial and appellate courts. - Assist with trainings and conferences. - Other assignments in support of the District Attorney’s Office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to represent the Commonwealth in the various trial courts and appellate courts in Plymouth County, as well as other counties in Massachusetts. As an Assistant District Attorney – Appeals Unit, you will have the opportunity to utilize your legal expertise and advocacy skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while making a difference in the community.
As a member of our team, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Respond to daily inquiries and requests for assistance from attorneys and staff. - Review and advise on requests for appeals from trial court rulings. - Research, write, and argue motions, briefs, and legal memoranda. - Appear before trial, appellate, and supreme courts to prosecute and present cases on behalf of the Commonwealth. - Assist with trainings and conferences, both internal and external. - Other assignments in support of the District Attorney’s Office as needed.
