Work type: Full Time Administrative Location: Columbus - Franklin, IN Categories: Team Ivy Referral, Other General Description of Position: To coordinate the daily operations of K-14 initiatives aligned with Ivy Tech Community College policy and procedures to include but not limited to: dual credit, dual enrollment, Early College initiatives, and all evolving K-14 partnerships. Serve as a source of information on K-14 initiatives, policies and NACEP requirements. Work collaboratively with the Director of K-14 initiatives and Vice Chancellor of Johnson & Shelby Counties on specific school initiatives & strategies. Work under the direction of the Director of K-14 Initiatives to identify and facilitate new agreements, maintain current agreements, manage student admission, prerequisite testing, registration, and, where appropriate, academic advising. Ensure that NACEP Accreditation guidelines are followed in all aspects of the K- 14 programming and generate reports necessary to sustain NACEP accreditation. Respond to requests for information on K-14 initiatives activity, successes, and challenges. Must be willing to travel throughout the Ivy Tech Community College service area, which includes six counties. Potential to work virtually 1-2 days per week. The position will work from the Franklin Ivy Tech campus with training for the first 6 months at the Columbus Ivy Tech campus. Major Responsibilities: Cultivate relationships with K12 administrators overseeing dual credit and dual enrollment programming in partner high schools. Serve as point of contact for outreach efforts for Johnson County area high schools (5) and career centers (1). Ensure that high school dual credit students receive academic support and are equipped with the appropriate guidance to succeed in Dual Credit as they transition to the college environment, i.e. Admissions, Financial Aid. Attend high school information events and visit area high schools to meet with high school administrators, counselors, students, and parents about Ivy Tech Community College’s dual credit program; serve as primary contact for counselors, faculty, students, and parents and the secondary contact for high school administrators. Provide oversight for the application, course enrollment, and grade reporting process with high schools; serving as the primary college contact person for dual credit questions and issues. Establish consistent communication with Dual Credit students via email in order to transition them to degree/certificate Ivy Tech students. Work closely with high school counselors/liaisons for referrals. Coordinate and implement dual credit events at area high schools. Serve as a liaison in a pre-advising capacity for dual credit students. Assist in the development of strategies related to ensuring equity and access to dual credit opportunities. Network with outside organizations and agencies to promote dual credit opportunities. Continuously develop targeted enrollment strategies to increase the number of students transitioning into Ivy Tech in collaboration with the assistant director of admissions for Johnson County. Provide leadership for enrollment activities and advising services for high school dual enrollment students. Oversee and implement standardized policies/procedures for dual credit programs for the campus. Communicate regularly with high schools, students, parents, and faculty as the primary contact on campus for dual credit and promote the partnership and processes. Provide ongoing support and information regarding the college and promote relevant programs. Maintain, update, and distribute dual credit resource materials to college and high school personnel. Maintain and track dual credit registrations each semester. Maintain strong communication with and provide guidance and assistance for the program chairs working with dual credit programming (i.e., professional development, site visits). Provide technical assistance with DualEnroll.com for the high school partners. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience in program management, development, education, or related field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills working with diverse populations including, but not limited to, college personnel, school administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, and students. Must be highly motivated and possess demonstrated planning, and organization skills. Excellent technology skills and the ability to learn new programs and systems. Strong customer service skills and the ability to guide others through processes and technology challenges.
