Job Description
Basic Function:  Serves as Title IX Coordinator and Disability Services Coordinator and manages the College’s compliance with Title IX, Title VI, ADA, Clery Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and other state and federal laws relating to discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence, stalking, and disability accommodations. Responsible for coordinating Title IX process to develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and practices that comply with all federal and state legislation and regulations related to sex-based discrimination and harassment.  Additional responsibilities will include overseeing the process for ADA accommodations, and Clery Act compliance, and reporting analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:  (*Indicates non-essential function)

Serve as Title IX Coordinator pursuant to the College’s Title IX Sexual Harassment policy. Oversee and manage Title IX compliance, recordkeeping, training, receipt of reports and formal complaints of sexual harassment, supportive measures, informal resolutions, and the grievance process for formal complaints, including the investigation, live hearing, determination and appeal. Communicate directly with Title IX parties throughout the Title IX grievance process in a fair and impartial manner that emphasizes excellent communication skills, empathy, and patience. Coordinate grievance process with Title IX team. Oversee and maintain confidentiality of Title IX process and records.
Monitor developments in law, policy, and practice related to civil rights, Title IX, ADA/Section 504, identify areas of institutional risk, and develop plans of action for ensuring all applicable College policies comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
Coordinate with campus partners to develop, review, and revise content for the College’s written and online policies and materials related to disability accommodations, discrimination, and Title IX.
Serve as a member of the College’s Title IX team.
Support ongoing evaluation and assessment of policies addressing harassment and prohibited discrimination for effectiveness.
Serve as Disability Services Coordinator. Coordinate compliance with the ADA/Section 504 in collaboration with Human Resources, receive and analyze requests for disability accommodations, determine and implement appropriate accommodations, and communicate with faculty, student, and staff (as necessary and appropriate) regarding accommodations. Receive, analyze, and manage all requests for Emotional Support Animals (ESA). 
Collect, maintain, and analyze data, as appropriate to contribute to federal and state annual reporting requirements.
Maintain records and reports in accordance with the law and institution policies including coordination and assisting public safety on Clery Act-related matters.
Coordinate ongoing assessment and response to needs of campus community. 
Develop training programs to meet the needs in the areas of disability, discrimination, and other related issues.  
Respond to questions and concerns from students, faculty, and staff.  
Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Prefer Terminal degree (e.g., Juris Doctor, Ed.D, Ph.D) in a related field. 
Minimum five (5) years of significant experience with Title IX, civil rights laws, ADA/Section 504, or related experience required. 
Knowledge of current state and federal anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws and regulations.
Ability to provide leadership in the development of institution-specific policies and procedures.
Able to demonstrate effectiveness in building professional working relationships with students, staff, faculty and third parties.
Knowledge of best practices and trends in the field of higher education.
Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Experience successfully working with confidential and sensitive information. 
Excellent communications skills.
