Responsibilities: - Handle a wide variety of legal topics, including civil litigation, employment law, tax assessments, elections, real estate, municipal finance, collections, claims, prosecution, public records/open meetings, ordinance drafting, contracts, insurance and risk management, and more - Specialist or generalist roles available, with room for growth and learning in new areas of law
Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school - Licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin (or ability to obtain upon hire) - 2-3 years of legal experience, preferably in municipal, employment, or administrative law - Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills
