In this role, the Assistant Attorney General will have the opportunity to defend cases filed by current and former inmates against the Illinois Department of Corrections and its employees. This includes handling various civil rights actions in federal district court and state law claims in state court.

Responsibilities:
- Defend cases filed by current and former inmates against the Illinois Department of Corrections and its employees - Handle various civil rights actions in federal district court and state law claims in state court - Conduct legal research and writing - Represent the interests of the State of Illinois and its people
Qualifications:
- Licensed attorney in the state of Illinois - 2 or more years of litigation experience - Strong research and writing skills - Interest in and enthusiasm for trial work - Commitment to public service
