JOB OVERVIEW The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) of the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** invites applications for non-tenure track positions as a Professor Educator or Professor of Practice of Computer Engineering and Computer Science. The anticipated start date is August 15, 2022. The positions are 9-month full-time appointments, paid over 12 months with full University faculty benefits. The appointment will be made within the Professor Educator or Professor of Practice track with salary and rank commensurate with credentials.
The Department of EECS offers ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Professor of Practice duties include teaching six undergraduate courses over two semesters related to the candidate's area of expertise within the areas of Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering. In Computer Science, this may include: machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software engineering, computer networks, databases, data structures, introduction to computer systems, object oriented programming, and/or introduction to programming. In Computer Engineering, this may include: embedded systems, computer networks, software and systems engineering, and/or computer architecture.
The Professor Educator duties are identical to those of the Professor of Practice, except duties also include teaching classes at the graduate level.
