Job Description
JOB SUMMARY Provides direct patient care and clinical assistance to anesthesia care providers in the acquisition, preparation, application and use of monitors, equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia in various settings. Performs general cleaning and decontamination of supplies and equipment. Mentors Anesthesia Technicians I & II. Assists with competency validations as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma / GED required. Preference to candidates with associates or higher degree.
Experience: 2 years of Anesthesia Technician experience required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Anesthesia technician or technologist certification through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT- CAT or CATT ) preferred
Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS certifications preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, critical thinking skills, communication and team working skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Must be able to fulfill fundamental components/essential elements of position. Basic computer skills. Ability to work in a high pressure/rapid paced environment. Ethical and legal issues and responsibilities. Must meet all anesthesia technician I, II, and II competencies within 6 weeks of hire.
