ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
The School of Criminal Justice grants the BS, MS, and PhD degrees. The School also houses **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Corrections Institute, the Center for Police Research and Policy, the Institute for Crime Science, and the Criminal Justice Research Center. The School offers specializations in crime prevention, policing, corrections, criminal justice, and criminology. UC is a Research I Institution that grants doctorates in 98 areas. JOB OVERVIEW
The School of Criminal Justice at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position, with the appointment starting August 15, 2022, although the start date is negotiable. An Assistant / Associate Professor at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and other professional or creative activities. This position will support **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all of our activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An Assistant/Associate Professor at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is expected to teach, conduct research, and perform other professional or creative activities. This position will support **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all of our activities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a related discipline in the social or behavioral sciences by the time of appointment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Area of specialization is open. Applicants must have a strong record of scholarship or provide evidence of the potential to develop a strong research program. Applicants with a record of external funding success are encouraged to apply.
