Work type: Full Time Administrative Location: Indianapolis, IN Categories: Administrative/Professional, Office/Clerical General Description of Position: This position provides leadership, coordination and comprehensive support in the management of the School of Technology including planning, maintaining and evaluating the overall operations and administrative functions of the division. Major Responsibilities: Administrative and Secretarial Support for the School Responsibilities * Provide assistance to faculty, staff, and students * Prioritize and coordinate the work of the office * Provide leadership, support, and organization for the administrative functions of the School Office * Maintain records including collecting data, preparing operational and historical reports, and accurate record keeping of grants and other correspondence.
Budgets/Records Management/Inventory Control * Participate in planning. * Assist School Dean in providing administrative oversight of all School functions. * Keep accurate and complete records for all School functions, including various monetary budgets, especially the supplies & expenses portion * Order and maintain necessary office supplies for School employees * Coordination of all School purchases with Business Office personnel. * Responsible for coordination all Perkins requests, forms and purchases for SAMAES
Direct Instructional Support * Problem solve in support of full- and part-time faculty and staff * Assist instructional chairs and managers in managing the timely flow of information and operational transactions, including scheduling and curriculum. Leadership * Assist School Dean or designee in planning and carrying out special projects, serving as liaison to the academic administrative support team and other special projects. * Coordinate all administrative support functions for Program Accreditation both Regional and Statewide. * Other duties as assigned, including supervision of work studies and part-time hourly personnel, support of other academic divisions by carrying out similar responsibilities and tasks as a member of a team Customer Service * Provide strong customer service and/or student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem solving and desire to identify and support student success. * Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported. * Seeks to get to the root cause of the problem, question, or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible. Leadership and Student Support * Troubleshoot with internal and external customers to maximize customer service. * Assist College efforts in training new administrative hires The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.
