Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of general ledger accountants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture - Oversee daily operations and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions - Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements - Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with reporting standards - Maintain and enforce internal controls to adhere to firm policies and regulatory requirements - Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations - Partner with other department leaders to gather critical information for reporting and month-end closing activities - Prepare and present financial reports for senior management, providing actionable insights - Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate relevant changes into departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, MBA or other advanced degree in finance or accounting a plus - CPA highly encouraged - Minimum of 10 years of experience in an accounting and finance function, preferably in a law or professional services firm - Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards - Experience with 3E Accounting System or other major accounting software preferred - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Compensation Range: $100,000/yr. to $130,000/yr.
