Position Responsibilities: - Conduct legal research and analyze data and documentation related to agency legal matters - Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other pleadings to support arguments in mediation or litigation - Provide legal guidance and technical assistance to agency management and staff - Represent the agency in legal proceedings and draft proposed legislation and amendments to agency regulations - May supervise a small administrative support staff and assist with hiring new employees
Qualifications: - Licensed to practice law and admitted to the Arkansas State Bar - Three years of experience practicing law - Knowledge of state and federal laws and legal research and writing protocols - Ability to analyze and interpret laws and provide legal opinions and guidance - Strong organizational and leadership skills
