Employment Opportunity Announcement: Associate Court Attorney Positions Available in Bronx Supreme Civil Court
Introduction: The State of New York Unified Court System is currently seeking qualified candidates for three (3) Associate Court Attorney positions in the Bronx Supreme Civil Court. These positions offer a competitive salary of $119,638 plus $4,775 location pay and require a minimum of five (5) years of relevant legal experience. Salary Information: - Base salary of $119,638 - Additional $4,775 for location pay
Experience Requirements: - Admission to the New York State Bar - Minimum of five (5) years of relevant legal experience - Up to 18 months of pre-admission experience
Duties and Responsibilities: - Research and analyze complex legal issues and questions - Supervise attorneys and support staff in one or more courts - Serve in a confidential capacity and work with substantial independence - Assigned to judges in Supreme Court, County Court, Surrogate's Court, Court of Claims, or Family Courts - May be assigned to judges designated as Acting Justices of the Supreme Court for one full term or less - Assist with conferencing and case management audits - Write confidential legal memoranda and opinions - Confer with lawyers on complex proceedings and review legal documents
