Job Description
The ADMINISTRATIVE NURSE MANAGER is responsible for ensuring adherence to standards of quality care as well as for identifying and resolving systems issues and personnel problems. The Administrative Nurse Manager will serve as a role model in providing clinical support for Medical health care services, participates in performance improvement, maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise in various areas of SURGERY.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
*Overall organization, oversight, leadership, direction, and evaluation of clinical operations. *Provides direct supervision for all clinical staff including NPs, RNs, LPNs, PCTs. *Develops and maintains an environment that ensures continual delivery of high-quality patient focused care. *Ensures standardization of care protocols and provides uniform training to all clinical assistant personnel. *Coordinates care for patients in collaboration with and on behalf of care providers and collaborates closely with other managers in the department to achieve optimal patient flow, clinical operations, and patient outcomes. *Ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws including but not limited to those established by **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, the Joint Commission, CMS, NYS Department of Health, ADA, and NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:
*BSN required coupled with New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration; Nurse Practitioner (NP) preferred *Minimum of Five (5) years clinical experience required *Minimum of Three (3) years management experience required. *American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification in Specialty Area preferred *Ideal candidate will have doctorate in nursing. *Effective management skills necessary to organize, direct and evaluate the activities of nursing and hospital personnel. *Analytical skills necessary for problem solving and clinical decision making. *Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Adapts well to change. *Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to problem solve, ability to motivate, develop, and coach individuals and groups, ability to appropriately confront issues, and ability to think creatively. *A strong commitment to furthering institutional performance measures through interdisciplinary teamwork is essential.
