Description
Suffolk County campaign for the County Legislator election in November. This internship is open to college students who are interested in Politics, Campaigns, Elections, Marketing and Fundraising. Political Science, Government and Politics, International Relations, Business, Finance, and Marketing majors preferred. Other majors and select high school students will be considered.
Must be comfortable working with people, speaking to voters on the phone and in person.
Must maintain a professional conduct which is representative of the candidate and the campaign.
Must feel comfortable contacting constituents by telephone and talking about the issues.
Must be capable of performing research and reporting on legislation, local organizations and businesses, and campaign methods and strategy.
Must work well with others, we have a tight knit team and we are always collaborating.
Must be comfortable working with some basic excel databases and maintaining accurate records.
Self-driven independent worker is a must.
Full and part time placement is available; however, you must be able to work a minimum of 3 full days per week, for 12 weeks.
Interns will perform a range of tasks; including day-to-day office operations, data entry, outreach, research and event support. Experience is not required, but professionalism and a great attitude are essential.
