Summer Program
Our summer program is an important part of our recruitment efforts. We believe that a realistic view of the firm is the best way to help you make an informed decision to join us after graduation. We have designed our summer program to provide a variety of work assignments, social activities, and training opportunities. We also recognize the importance of the summer program as a source of permanent associates. In addition, our summer program is the primary source of our associates who have experience as summer associates at the firm.
Our summer associates participate in a wide variety of work assignments, including briefs, research memoranda, pleadings, transactional documents, client meetings, and court appearances. We encourage our summer associates to work with as many different lawyers as possible and to work on projects that interest them. We also provide training programs tailored to the summer associates’ experience level, practice interests, and development needs. In addition, we sponsor a series of informal lunches and other social events that enable summer associates to get to know our lawyers and to become familiar with our practice areas, culture, and each other.
We also encourage our summer associates to participate in the firm’s pro bono and public service activities and to join our lawyers in community service projects. We believe that these activities provide a valuable opportunity for our summer associates to gain practical experience while contributing to the community.
