Position Overview:
As a Summer Law Clerk at Berding & Weil, LLP, you will have the opportunity to support attorneys with a variety of legal research, writing, and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for law students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases - Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and correspondence - Assist with case preparation and file management - Attend client meetings and court proceedings as needed - Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy and development - Perform administrative duties to support the legal team
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school - Strong research and writing skills - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) - Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
