The 2025 Summer Internship Program at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is a great opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in immigration law. As an intern, you will work closely with our team of lawyers, paralegals, and social workers and have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable immigrant children. Responsibilities: As a law student intern, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Communicating with clients and interpreting for attorneys in client meetings - Drafting affidavits and helping prepare legal filings - Observing court hearings - Developing case strategy - Conducting legal research - Reviewing reports about country conditions - Participating in virtual legal screenings
Qualifications: To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited law school - Open to giving and receiving feedback - Able to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team - Spanish fluency is strongly preferred - An understanding of how to work with vulnerable populations using trauma-centered practices or a willingness to learn and incorporate such practices in your work
