- Law student academic internship opportunity at HCDAO for students interested in pursuing a career in law - Interns will work directly with experienced trial attorneys and assist with a variety of tasks - Tasks include victim and witness interviews, trial preparation, research and writing, and assisting with court proceedings - Interns may also be assigned additional projects or observations as required by their school or professors - Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, application, unofficial transcript, and a head and shoulders photo for ID badge - This is an unpaid internship and interns can work up to 40 hours per week during the summer term - Fall interns will work in person for 10 weeks and remote internships are not offered - Bar card eligibility is required for chosen interns - Background check and orientation session are part of the internship process - Interns will be assigned to divisions based on the needs of HCDAO, with a focus on Misdemeanor and Felony Division, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Sex Crimes, and Crimes Against Children Division - The summer internship begins on June 9, 2025 and ends on August 15, 2025 - Chosen interns will receive more information after their background report is approved.
