Everytown Law, the litigation arm of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Support Fund, is seeking a passionate and dedicated attorney to join their team as a Constitutional Law Fellow. This full-time, 2-year fellowship offers a competitive salary range of $87,500 to $90,000 annually, and the opportunity to work with the nation's leading gun violence prevention organization.
As a Constitutional Law Fellow, you will have the chance to participate in the development of constitutional doctrine at a pivotal moment in history. In the wake of recent Supreme Court decisions, the need to elevate and strengthen gun safety in the courts has never been more urgent. Everytown Law's Second Amendment practice focuses on defending life-saving laws against Second Amendment and related constitutional challenges through both direct representation and amicus briefing.
In addition to working on important cases, the Fellow will also have the opportunity to produce independent and rigorous legal scholarship on the Second Amendment and other gun violence prevention issues. You will collaborate with state attorneys general, city and county attorneys, and national and local law firms to advance common-sense gun legislation. The Fellow will also have the chance to contribute to the development and implementation of long-term Second Amendment strategy, and participate in public speaking engagements and presentations.
The ideal candidate for this fellowship will have a J.D. and strong legal analysis, research, writing, and editing skills. Clerkship experience is a plus. Everytown Law values attention to detail, the ability to explain complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to social justice and a passion for Everytown's mission of preventing gun violence are also essential qualities for this role.
This fellowship can be based in either New York City or Washington, D.C. Currently, Everytown Law's attorneys work 3 days per week in the office. The organization offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, and education assistance.
