Are you a passionate and dedicated attorney looking to make a difference in the fight against gun violence? Everytown Law is seeking a Constitutional Law Fellow to join their team and work towards defending life-saving gun safety laws and advocating for stronger legislation.

Scope of Fellowship:
- 2-year Fellowship with a fall 2025 start date and a fall 2027 end date - Opportunity to participate in the development of constitutional doctrine at a pivotal moment in the wake of major Supreme Court decisions on the Second Amendment - Join the Second Amendment practice and assist state and local governments in defending their gun safety laws - Research and draft amicus briefs addressing Second Amendment and other constitutional challenges to gun safety laws - Conduct legal and historical research and produce scholarship and educational materials on the Second Amendment and other gun safety topics
Responsibilities:
- Report to senior attorneys and have a high level of responsibility and self-direction - Contribute to long-term Second Amendment strategy and collaborate with state attorneys general, city and county attorneys, and national and local law firms - Coordinate closely on litigation and amicus strategy with other interested parties, including other gun violence prevention groups - Participate in some interviewing and supervising of legal interns and some public speaking - Conduct legal research and produce written materials
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree - Clerkship experience is a plus - Outstanding legal analysis, research, writing, and editing skills - Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver timely and high-quality work - Strong commitment to social justice and interest in gun violence prevention law and policy - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with other lawyers - Experience working with marginalized communities and survivors of trauma is a plus - Strong work ethic, sense of humor, flexibility, creativity, and professional demeanor - Second Amendment experience not required
