Law Firm Seeks Legal Assistant for Property Damage and Personal Injury Cases in Tampa, FL Summary: - **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, a rapidly growing personal injury and property damage law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant in Tampa, FL. - The Legal Assistant will work directly with attorneys to assist with ongoing cases and prepare for trial. - This position requires secretarial, clerical, and data entry duties, as well as document management and e-filing experience. - The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of legal assistant experience, preferably in first-party property or general litigation. - Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred, as well as those with strong customer service skills and proficiency in case management software.
Responsibilities: - Perform secretarial, clerical, and data entry duties. - Manage documents using Microsoft Office programs and e-file legal documents in Florida's E-Portal System. - Maintain attorney's calendar and schedule depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings. - Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences. - Draft legal court documents and send out correspondence to parties/non-parties. - Communicate with clients and set up Court calls or Zoom for hearings. - Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: - Full-time, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday schedule. - 2 years of legal assistant experience. - Experience with case management software and e-filing in state and federal courts. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. - Strong customer service skills and ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
