Law Firm Seeking Legal Assistant with First-Party Property Damage Experience in Coral Gables, FL

With a strong focus on achieving the best outcomes for our clients, we are looking for a dedicated individual to support our attorneys and contribute to the success of our firm.
In this role, the Legal Assistant will serve as a crucial point of contact between our firm and other attorneys or insurance companies. Responsibilities will include assisting attorneys with ongoing cases, conducting research, and maintaining case files. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience, with a preference for those with first-party property or general litigation experience. Fluency in English and Spanish is also preferred.
Key responsibilities of the Legal Assistant include:
Providing secretarial, clerical, and data entry support. Managing documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe. Filing legal documents in Florida's E-Portal System. Maintaining attorney calendars and scheduling meetings and hearings. Assisting with preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas. Communicating with clients and sending correspondence via email, regular mail, or certified mail. Setting up Court calls or Zoom for hearings.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications:
2 years of legal assistant experience. Experience with case management software. Familiarity with e-filing in state and federal courts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong customer service skills. Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
