We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workers’ Compensation Subrogation Attorney to join our legal team.
Position Summary:
The Workers’ Compensation Subrogation Attorney will be responsible for handling all aspects of subrogation claims arising from workers’ compensation cases and some fire and property subrogation matters. This role will involve investigating claims, negotiating settlements, and litigating subrogation matters to recover funds on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in workers' compensation law and subrogation practices, with strong analytical and litigation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation subrogation and fire and property subrogation matters from inception through resolution. Investigate subrogation claims, including gathering evidence, speaking with clients, and assessing liability. Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings. Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers, third parties, and other stakeholders. Advise clients on subrogation rights and strategies for maximizing recoveries. Maintain accurate and organized records of all case activities and communications. Stay current on developments in workers’ compensation law and subrogation regulations.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in California; State and Federal Jurisdictions Must have civil trial experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation law, with a focus on subrogation matters Strong knowledge of workers' compensation and subrogation laws and regulations. Proven experience in litigation, negotiations, and case management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
