What We Offer
Remote and In-Person Court Appearances: Consult with and advise clients both remotely and in-person with flexibility to work from home when appropriate. Competitive Benefits: Competitive salary ($70,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience), health insurance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
Provide pre bankruptcy consultations and post hearing reviews. Represent clients in bankruptcy court. Prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions, appearing before bankruptcy trustees and judges to confirm plans. Research and draft motions in accordance with U.S. bankruptcy code and case law, including defending against trustee and creditor motions. Explore opportunities to work in additional practice areas, such as Wills and Estates, Real Estate, and Contracts.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in New Jersey. Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy experience preferred. (Chapter 11 experience a plus). Strong legal research and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively. Tech-savvy and collaborative mindset. Positive can-do attitude. Compassionate and empathetic to clients in distress. Spanish language skills a plus.
