Include Your Jobs with XML

Please tell us once your feed is ready to go or if you have any questions regarding the feed creation. We can also access password protected HTTP or FTP accounts

Providing us with an XML feed is by far the fastest way to get included. We will access your XML file once per day to check for new jobs. Whether you have a few new jobs or thousands per day we will only need to access a single file — leaving your server resources for all the user traffic we'll be sending you.

If you have an existing file format you already use, it is likely we can accommodate that. We can accept almost all existing job file formats. If not, here is an example of our XML format populated with some sample data to serve as a guide:

<publisher>Best XX 23 Test Site</publisher>
<publisherurl>http://www.bestxx23site.com</publisherurl>

<job>

Marketing Representative

    <date>Fri, 10 Dec 2005 22:49:39 GMT</date>
    <referencenumber>unique237308</referencenumber>

    <company>J&V Inc.</company>
    <city>Seatle</city>
    <state>WA</state>
    <country>US</country>
    <postalcode>89003</postalcode>

Strong Applicant. Communication skills. Ability to live.

    <salary>$90K per year</salary>
    <education>Masters</education>
    <jobtype>fulltime, parttime</jobtype>

Category1, Category2, CategoryN

    <experience>4+ years</experience>

</job>

The fields in red are required. Job entries omitting any of these highlighted fields will not make it into our database. The other info is optional but strongly encouraged. The more data you can provide about a job the better.

HTML is permitted in the description; however it is preferred that you remove any HTML tags, JavaScript, HTML comments and CSS when generating the feed.

If the resulting XML feed turns out to be large you are encouraged to zip or gzip the file.

The URL must be a direct and permanent link. Direct means that the URL will bring up the job description for the job that is being described without the need to log in. (It is OK if you require a user to log in to apply for a job though).

IMPORTANT

All of the jobs you are providing in the XML feed must be unique to your website. If your site contains reposted jobs from existing job boards you must NOT include them in your XML feed. If our system detects such duplicated reposts your feed will be disabled and your jobs will be removed from our search results without notice.

In such an event you will need to make the appropriate modifications to your feed and contact us to reactive it.
