Law Firm Seeking Civil/Commercial Litigation Associate with 3 Years Experience in Florida and Nationwide

Overview:
- Law firm Shumaker is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil/Commercial Litigation Associate to join our Litigation & Disputes Service Line.
- This is a full-time position with the option for a hybrid/remote work arrangement for the right candidate.
- The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school, an active Florida bar license, and a minimum of 3 years of civil/commercial litigation experience.
- Strong communication, research, and writing skills are required, as well as the ability to manage complex case assignments and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Engage in sophisticated and challenging litigation work for clients in Florida and nationwide.
- Manage complex case assignments and communicate with clients on an ongoing basis.
- Utilize strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and databases.
- Conduct thorough research using online services and databases.
- Successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all work.

Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Active Florida bar license.
- Minimum of 3 years of civil/commercial litigation experience.
- Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals.
- Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases.
- Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:
- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time.
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day.
- Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day.
