POSITION: CLIMBINGFOREMAN TRAINEE - RESIDENTIAL TREE CARE
OB DUTIES: The Foreman Trainee position is intended to introduce experienced climbers to Davey Company Culture & develop them into full-time Foremen. This position is intended for learning to lead a crew of 3-5 persons to complete tree pruning and tree removal. Foremen are responsible for utilizing the Job Planning Toolkit to safely and efficiently complete work orders as assigned by management. This includes performing pre-climb inspections of trees before work begins. Foremen work directly with the District Manager to mentor and train new employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum 3 years of prior experience climbing in the tree care industry -Experience pruning to ANSI A300 standards. -Comfortable climbing on Moving Rope System
-Abillity to set a tie-in-point utilizing Throwball and Throwline -Proficiency tying Climbing Hitches, Termination Knots, & Rigging Knots -Dedication to safe chainsaw operation and maintenance -Prior Experience with Sectional Tree Removal utilizing techniques to minimize Dynamic Loads
-Prior Experience felling with open-faced notch, hinge wood, and back cut for directional control
Valuable qualities, but not required: -CTW-Climber Specialist, Certified Arborist, and/or CTSP preferred -Class B or Class A CDL -Aerial Lift Experience
-Crane Experience
-Grapple/Log Truck Experience
-Training Experience
