GENERAL SUMMARY: The HR Generalist is responsible for the implementation and execution of HR policies, processes and best practices throughout the organization. Manages the execution of daily HR operations to ensure alignment with company philosophy, business objectives and legal requirements. Recommends, develops, and implements programs, policies, procedures, and events that support a culture of engagement and inclusion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Provide guidance to leaders and associates related to
*HR processes, policies and best practices *Associate relation issues *Performance Management *Disciplinary Actions and termination *Interpretation and application of established HR policies
*Supports and/or manages ongoing HR processes including but not limited to: quarterly/annual review/merit process, internal compliance audits, Visa/immigration employment processes, engagement surveys, business resource group sponsorship, recognition events & programs, LOA's, talent assessment and associate onboarding *Assist with testing and implementation of new HR programs, initiatives and/or practices *Respond to associate issues and, as required, independently investigate, recommend and resolve associate relations issues up to termination; consult with HR Manager, legal and business partners when necessary *Provide coaching and/or training to associates regarding dealing with difficult people or situations, career paths, etc. *Collaborate with shared service HR partners (i.e. compensation, benefits, recruiting, training & development) as needed to support associates and HR operations within Camuto Group *May conduct local surveys and/or focus groups regarding HR practices and policies. Provides results and makes recommendations as needed *Represent client groups in broad HR initiatives *Supports recruiting, retention, and onboarding efforts including but not limited to: conducting and/or scheduling interviews, organizing and facilitating New Hire Orientation, responding to new associate requests for information *Facilitate in a variety of forums (i.e. orientation, talent reviews, training classes, new manager assimilations, department meetings etc.) *Supports internal communications process and assists with cascading key information to associates *Review Kronos on a weekly basis, keys time adjustments on time, partners with managers regarding errors or notifications, and partners with Payroll Department to conduct payroll or paycheck investigations *Creates, plans, and executes various associate events *AD hoc project management
REQUIRED SKILLS: *Demonstrated business acumen *Experience handling complicated Associate relations issues *Knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws *Performs multi-faceted projects in conjunction with normal activities *Ability to identify, analyze, develop solutions and make decisions on complex or unique issues *Effective communications skills—ability to present persuasively *Demonstrated PC-based software using Microsoft(tm) Office suite *Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills to all Associates including management
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: *3 years' experience as an HR generalist or business partner *Certifications in HR including SPHR and/or PHR preferred *Wholesale, design, fashion, or retail industry preferred
EDUCATION: *Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Business, or equivalent work experience
