King Law Offices is a well-established and respected family law firm looking for a highly skilled attorney to join their team as a Senior Associate or Junior Partner. This position is available in six locations: Columbus (Polk Co., NC), Marion (McDowell Co., NC), Lincolnton (Lincoln Co., NC), Waynesville, (Haywood Co., NC), Charlotte (Mecklenburg), and Brevard (Transylvania Co., NC). The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in various family law matters, managing a caseload, conducting legal research, and participating in business development activities.
The successful candidate must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with a state bar association. They must also have 2 to 10 years of experience practicing family law and possess excellent analytical, research, and writing skills. Strong negotiation and mediation skills, ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload, and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and client confidentiality are all essential for this position. Furthermore, experience in business development and networking activities is a plus.

Responsibilities
Represent clients in various family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, custody, child support, alimony, domestic violence, and prenuptial agreements Manage a caseload with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met and providing regular updates to clients Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs Engage in negotiation and mediation efforts to resolve disputes amicably Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless case management Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events and client meetings Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing with a state bar association 2-10 years of experience practicing family law Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills Strong negotiation and mediation skills Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and client confidentiality Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered focus Experience in business development and networking activities is a plus

Salary Range The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience).
