The Molino Firm, PLC, a 7-lawyer law firm in Los Angeles, is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney with 1-4 years of experience in civil litigation. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly admitted attorney to gain experience in business, employment, and finance litigation. The successful candidate must have exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex legal and business issues in a clear and concise manner at all levels.
Job Summary:
The Associate Litigation Attorney will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts and corporate transactions, managing legal documents and files, and drafting complex legal documentation. They must have a strong understanding of state laws and regulations relevant to insurance companies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and assist in negotiating contracts and corporate transactions - Manage legal documents and files in a timely manner - Draft complex legal documentation, including summaries of significant regulatory developments, legislative history, and case law research
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school - Membership in California Bar - Minimum 1-year experience in a civil law firm and/or as a corporate counsel
Skills:
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations relevant to insurance companies - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities - Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet tight deadlines with limited supervision
Software Proficiency:
- Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
