Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to clients regarding personal injury claims - Represent clients in court and during negotiations with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case - Negotiate settlements and ensure clients receive fair compensation for their injuries - Develop case strategies and arguments, and prepare legal documents - Partner with coworkers involved in the support of injury files - Investigate and gather evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare expert testimony - Attend depositions, mediations, and other court-related events on behalf of clients - Keep clients regularly informed about the progress of their case and provide guidance throughout the legal process - Ensure strict compliance with legal ethics and professional standards - Attend required daily morning and monthly Firm “All Hands” meetings - Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school - 3 years of personal injury experience - Active member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar - Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Salesforce experience is a plus - Forward-thinking growth mindset and commitment to constant learning and improvement
