The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience practicing law, with a focus on family law issues. The lawyer will be responsible for advocating for clients, representing them in court, and handling a high volume of cases. A current Washington State Bar License is mandatory, and the lawyer must live in the state of Washington. The firm offers a competitive salary of $103,500 - $131,500 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate for clients and develop strategic action plans based on their needs - Represent clients in court proceedings and effectively communicate with senior partners and paralegals - Regularly update clients on the status of their case and maintain good communication - Collaborate with the Mentoring Attorney to brainstorm case strategies and review legal documents - Lead a legal pod, including paralegals and legal assistants, while fostering a positive work environment - Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings - Stay actively involved with the American Bar Association and have a solid understanding of family law issues - Draft legal documents and maintain client files
Qualifications:
- Current Washington State Bar License is mandatory - A minimum of three years of experience as a practicing attorney with a focus on family law - Member in good standing with the American Bar Association - Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background - 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree required - Ability to represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case - Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues is necessary
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $103,500 - $131,500 per year.
