This role is available in various locations across the UK, including London, Manchester, Leeds, Reading, Birmingham, and Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a competitive salary and will be responsible for managing and delivering technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach is taken. You will also have the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with clients, win new business, and contribute to the development of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, proactively winning work and contributing to winning new clients - Shaping and articulating solutions to complex technical problems, working with stakeholders from EY, clients, and tax authorities - High-level management of the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical, business-driven approach taken - Identifying opportunities to involve other technical disciplines to expand the scope and value of services delivered - Managing areas of risk for clients and the firm, consulting appropriately - Responsibility for day-to-day delivery of exceptional client service - Building commercial networks and relationships internally and externally and managing resulting opportunities - Helping people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff - Contributing to people initiatives, including retaining and training our people - Involvement in the management of the team, both in terms of strategy and operations, and managing junior staff development and assignments
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA; or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course; or Law qualification - Experience as a Transfer Pricing tax practitioner - Proven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statutes - A degree or postgraduate degree - Project management skills, able to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and monitor own budget
