Law Firm Seeking Experienced Legal Team Assistant
Job Title: Legal Team Assistant Department: Legal Administrative Assistant Job Category: Legal Support Experience: Minimum 3 years in a law firm environment
Job Overview: The Law Firm is seeking an experienced Legal Team Assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys, the Client Services Team, and the Attorney Resource Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative mindset to deliver the highest level of service to internal and external clients.
Responsibilities: • Prepare legal correspondence, printing, scanning, or converting various documents • Process check requests and attorneys’ expenses as needed • Prepare materials for filing with courts and coordinate delivery to local courts • Create and maintain original and electronic client case files, utilizing document management software • Search and review electronic files and circulate to appropriate parties • Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents • Retrieve and prepare case files for closing and off-site storage • Collaborate with the Office Administrator to complete local office projects and tasks • Work closely with the Client Services Team, Attorney Resource Center, and other Legal Team Assistants • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external resources to complete projects and tasks • Adhere to all firm policies, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications: • Associate’s Degree preferred; applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree • Minimum of three (3) years related experience in a law firm environment preferred • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and detail-oriented work environment • Working knowledge of office equipment and software, including MS Office Suite • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Professional demeanor, with excellent poise and customer service skills
Work Environment & Physical Demands: • This job operates in a clerical, office setting • Medium work, with physical strength required to lift objects up to 50 pounds • Close visual acuity required for tasks such as data analysis and transcribing
