Job Description:
- Analyze and evaluate claims for coverage, liability, and damage - Prepare and communicate initial position letters to policyholders - Conduct thorough investigations and gather all relevant information - Manage file activity and maintain accurate reserves - Communicate effectively with underwriting and actuarial teams - Support customer service by responding promptly to phone and email inquiries - Enroll in continuing education to maintain state licenses and support personal development - Some travel required for mediations and court hearings
Required Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills - Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Effective negotiation skills - Organizational and time management skills - Knowledge of insurance coverage and negligence law
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant experience for Associate Claims Examiner role - 7 years of relevant experience for Claims Examiner role - Previous experience as an examiner, adjuster, paralegal, or similar role - Personal lines experience preferred - Multi-jurisdictional knowledge, advanced degrees, and/or JD a plus
Salary Information:
