- 2 years (Associate Claim Examiner) or 7 years (Claim Examiner) of relevant experience handling general liability/casualty/excess matters including prior examiner, adjuster, paralegal and/or other transferable experience. - Personal lines experience, multi-jurisdictional knowledge, advanced degrees and/or JD are a plus.

- Seeking an analytical and creative problem solver for Personal Lines Claims in Boise, ID - Responsible for coverage, liability, and damage evaluation - Assertive decision maker with strong negotiation and conflict management skills - Ongoing challenges and opportunities for growth - Regular interaction with underwriting, compliance, and actuarial departments - Confirm coverage and prepare initial position letters - Conduct thorough investigation, secure facts and documents, identify joint tortfeasors and witnesses - Post, review, and maintain reserves based on liability and damage evaluation - Proactive file management towards final disposition - Communicate regularly with underwriting and actuary - Support customer service and adhere to established claim service promises - May entail completion of special projects - Expected to enroll in continuing education and attend mediations and/or court hearings - Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, negotiation skills, organizational and time management skills, technical knowledge of insurance coverage, negligence law, and claim evaluation.
