Galileo is a financial technology company that provides innovative and revolutionary software products and services that power some of the world's largest Fintechs. We are looking for a Senior Assistant General Counsel to join our legal team and play a crucial role in navigating complex legal issues surrounding our SaaS offerings and technology transactions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a welcoming, collaborative environment and make an impact in the financial technology industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements and technology partnerships. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy and security requirements. - Provide strategic guidance on IP protection, enforcement, and commercialization strategies. - Support the development, commercialization, and licensing of technology and IP assets. - Stay updated on legal and industry developments relevant to the company's business.
Qualifications and Experience:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar. - 7 years of legal experience with a focus on SaaS, technology transactions, and intellectual property. - Strong understanding of software licensing, open source software, cloud computing, and data privacy laws. - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the technology or SaaS industry, including artificial intelligence. - Familiarity with international data privacy regulations. - CIPP/US or other relevant privacy certifications.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base pay range of $172,800 - $297,000 USD. - Eligibility for bonus and/or long term incentives. - Comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
