The Director of Human Resources at our intellectual property law firm will play a crucial role in the management and success of our firm. This individual will oversee all HR initiatives for our offices nationwide, ensuring that our employees are supported and our firm is in compliance with all HR policies and procedures. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated candidate who can effectively lead and manage our HR team and contribute to the overall success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and lead firm-wide HR initiatives - Provide guidance for administrative support needs - Partner with Management Committee to establish department goals and objectives - Manage Performance Review Program, job descriptions, compensation, and performance management - Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures, including employee handbook - Oversee benefits administration and budget - Manage and monitor HRIS, payroll, and other HR systems - Ensure compliance with HR regulations - Conduct recruitment efforts for non-attorney staff - Oversee new staff onboarding, career development, employee relations, and exit interviews - Lead and manage internal investigations and employee relations issues - Develop and implement staff training programs - Maintain department records and reports - Participate in administrative staff meetings and other meetings as needed - Evaluate and recommend improvements for department efficiency and services - Manage HR team - Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 5-7 years of HR experience in a law firm, OR Master's degree in HR Management or related field with 4-5 years of HR experience in a law firm - Management or supervisory experience in a law firm HR environment - PHR or SPHR certification preferred - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HR principles and practices
