Law firm **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team and support the development and implementation of business strategies for our firm. This role will report to our Chief Marketing Officer and be based in our Grand Rapids office, with some travel to other offices as needed. We are looking for a candidate with strong business acumen and experience in professional services firms, who can collaborate with our marketing and business development team, practice groups, and firm departments to drive our firm's growth.

Responsibilities:

- Proactively identify, develop, and implement effective marketing and business development strategies for assigned practice groups.
- Create key messages and marketing materials for the firm, including new practice profiles and matter lists.
- Manage the RFP process for assigned practice groups.
- Work with stakeholders to develop responses and presentations.
- Recommend new products and processes to improve business development efforts.
- Conduct industry research to gain knowledge about our referral sources, clients, and industries.
- Collaborate with our CMO and practice teams to develop and refine strategic planning.
- Collect and organize client lists, representative matters, and experience for use in marketing materials.
- Monitor industry organizations for speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated ability to identify and support business development opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of business-to-business marketing and development.
- Experience working with attorneys and firm management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Proactive and innovative mindset.
- Attention to detail and ability to see projects through to completion.
- Analytical and research skills.
- Creative instincts and good business judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with Aderant's EA Pro, Financial Insights, and Intapp is a plus.
- 5 years' experience in law firm, professional services, management consulting, or banking industries, with a focus on marketing, business development, or strategy.
- Bachelor's degree required.
