The Senior Counsel at Cincinnati Children's will be responsible for delivering legal services to support the institution's corporate, business operations, clinical, and research functions. This role will provide legal advice and counsel within designated areas, maintain competency in healthcare and healthcare-related fields, and identify and address compliance and risk issues. The expected starting salary range for this position is $64.96 - $84.41 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel will have the following responsibilities:
- Deliver legal services to support the corporate, business operations, clinical, and research functions - Provide legal advice and counsel within designated areas to institutional leaders - Maintain competency within designated areas and stay familiar with legal trends and developments in healthcare and healthcare-related fields - Identify and address compliance and risk issues associated with designated areas - Work with applicable staff to optimize compliance and risk management - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts within designated areas, such as physician/professional services, confidentiality and non-disclosures, master services, licenses, information technology, real estate, clinical lab services, learning network participation, and purchased services for general business operations - Develop and maintain contract templates and clauses - Enhance transaction processes, policies, procedures, guidance, and tools - Develop best practices for addressing emerging legal and business risks - Collaborate with departmental and organizational leadership on long-term and short-term planning - Support strategic priorities through targeted, innovative, and responsive solutions - Serve as an organizational advocate and partner with business leaders - Assist with the development of training programs and provide training for administrators, faculty, and staff relating to designated areas - Engage and manage outside counsel
Qualifications:
