Oil & Gas Title Attorney (Texas) - Remote - Full Time - Mid Level

We Need Your Drive and Precision: - Detail-oriented, client-focused attorney with experience in Texas oil and gas law - Subject matter expertise in oil and gas law - Previous experience as landmen, in-house legal and compliance attorneys, oil and gas finance executives, or counsel at a state regulatory agency - Dedication and precision paramount as you collaborate with senior attorneys to provide timely and accurate solutions
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct title examinations to determine ownership of oil and gas properties - Analyze relevant documents to establish ownership rights - Draft title opinions highlighting defects, liens, or other issues - Conduct due diligence reviews for oil and gas transactions - Provide guidance on legal risks and strategies for mitigating issues - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts - Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations - Collaborate with litigation attorneys if necessary - Foster teamwork and meet quarterly billable requirement - Pursue continuous learning and support other projects as assigned
Position Requirements: - Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license with at least one year of experience drafting title opinions in Texas - Familiarity with preparing large, unit-wide division order ownerships - Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality - Excellent interpersonal communication skills - Passion for growth and professional development - Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
