# Summer Associates Program at SS D Law Firm
SS D Law Firm is committed to providing the best and brightest law students with the opportunity to gain valuable law firm experience and help us take care of our clients’ needs. Our summer associates program offers students from a variety of outstanding law schools throughout the country the chance to participate in a variety of legal activities.
## What We Offer
Our Summer Associate Program offers a unique opportunity to experience a wide range of legal work in a professional setting. Our summer associates benefit from:
* Experience and Training: We provide our summer associates with the opportunity to put their legal thinking to practical use while learning how to use those abilities to further our clients’ interests. Our summer associates are given the chance to research and write on a variety of legal matters and, when appropriate, to work directly with clients and others involved in the matters on which they are working.
* Contribution: We treat our Summer Associates as “lawyers in training” and expect that, with guidance and training, they will provide lawyerly work. Summer associates can take pride in the knowledge that they are playing an important role in fulfilling our commitments to our clients.
* Compensation: We offer competitive salaries to our summer associates, as well as payment for parking (or for public transportation for those who choose not to drive to the office).
* Mentoring: Our open-door policy allows each summer associate to know that people are always ready, willing, and able to assist them with any questions or concerns about assignments or other matters involving the firm or the practice of law. All of our attorneys are approachable and helpful and are happy to act as a formal mentor for one of the Summer Associates.
* Social Activities: We believe that friendships are just as important as professional relationships and our Summer Associates are encouraged to attend the various activities and events we sponsor throughout the summer months.
