The Office of Accounting and Finance, College of Medicine is seeking to hire an Accountant 1.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Maintain routine account journals and prepare basic financial statements. *Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports. *Analyze, establish, and maintain accounting systems. *May process purchase requisitions, invoices and change orders. *May perform internal auditing of financial records. *Prepare financial/statistical analysis reports. *Recommend accounting and control systems. *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION *Bachelor's Degree must be in Accounting or related field. *Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED *Fund accounting experience. *SAP financial software experience. *Intermediate user of Microsoft products. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT *Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
