Orbital ATK is currently recruiting for a Mechanical-Manufacturing-Process-Engineer III (Current-Active Security Clearance Required) to work in our Clearfield, UT location.
The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with manufacturing personnel to solve production issues on highly automated processes using data based problem solving techniques. Learn and understand requirement to determine product impacts and recommend disposition of the parts. Work in a cross functional team to develop and implement process improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE
Must have an active clearance with an investigation within the last 4.5 years (or 4 years 6 months)
•Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering and 4 years of Process/Manufacturing Engineering experience; or equivalent experience
•Experience in working with aerospace specifications and requirements.
•Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. (GD&T)
•Working knowledge of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques.
•Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
•Functional knowledge of SPC
Preferred Skills and Experience:
•Composite experience
•Programming skills (control systems)
•Modeling experience
•Experience using SPC to monitor and improve processes
•Experience using Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) tool
•New facility design and start-up experience
•High rate production experience
